I am Farah Mirza, a freelance solicitor. I am the data controller for the personal data you provide to me.

• Communicate with you and progress your matter
• Keep records and manage my practice
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
My lawful bases include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests. Where special category data is involved, I rely on the relevant UK GDPR conditions for legal claims and legal advice.
Who I share it with
Only where necessary, I may share information with:
• Courts and tribunals
• Counsel, experts, and translators
• The other party and their representatives
• Service providers who support my practice (for example secure email, document storage)
I only share what is needed and I take steps to protect confidentiality.
How long I keep it
I keep files and related information for 6 years after the matter concludes, unless a longer period is required or appropriate (for example due to limitation periods or regulatory requirements).
Your rights
You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your information, and to object in certain circumstances. Some rights are not absolute, particularly where I must keep data for legal or regulatory reasons.
